Four Views on Reading the Bible Theologically

This multi-author volume considers the important task of reading the Bible theologically, from four distinct but complementary perspectives. Brandon Smith and I are co-editing it, and we have invited four accomplished and well-regarded theologians to argue for the helpfulness of their respective approaches. Michael Allen commends a confessional approach; Brad East advocates for ecclesial; Tom McCall for analytic: Steve Pardue for contextual. Kevin Vanhoozer writes the concluding reflections. The goal is to produce a highly stimulating and up-to-date introduction to a central theological task. The volume is under contract with B&H Academic for 2028.
